HPTN 071 (PopART): Findings from initial surveys

Principal investigator Richard Hayes and colleagues Virgina Bond and Sarah Fidler will be presenting findings from initial surveys of the HPTN 071 (PopART) study on 20th June, from 13h30 till 15h00 (CEST) at UNAIDS in Geneva. PopART or Population Effects of Antiretroviral Therapy to Reduce HIV Transmission is a research study that will determine the impact of a combination package of HIV prevention activities on community-level HIV incidence.  The study is currently being conducted in 21 communities inhe Western Cape of South Africa, and in Zambia and covers a population of 1.2 million people.
