Welcome to UNAIDS Science now and to the 7th issue of HIV this month 2014!

The Melbourne AIDS 2014 conference started on a sad note with the catastrophic loss of flight MH 17. While the mood was sombre, participants acknowledged the lives and work of their missing colleagues and friends and committed to keep their memories alive through all of our collective work to respond to HIV. There is good coverage of much of the science on the NAM website.

Enjoy this issue!
